I haven’t really talked to The Wifely Unit about it yet. I just assume she is going to snag it, pay off the debt again and stash the rest.
We shouldn’t have a whole bunch of debt to pay off I hope.
She pretty much cleared it off the last time but Christmas saw some credit card use.
Under $500 as I recall.
The whole thing just stinks to high Heaven in my opinion but this whole country is so fucked up right now NO ONE knows exactly what the fuck is going on.
I personally think it is a desperate gambit to keep a whole bunch of pissed off citizens from stringing them up by their entrails but that’s just me.
Since they are pretty much sending this money to just about everyone who stops by here by my reckoning I was just kind of curious. You certainly don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to.

That would be exactly correct, behind this waste of our money is Feinstein assault weapon and magazine ban bill, then Bidens tax hike bill to pay for this shitshow.

You could buy a nailgun, long-wand blowgun, and a spraygun from Harbor Freight with your stimmy.
Look at it this way, when the home invasion occurs someone will have the blowgun first, use the spraygun (so not to use spit), before using the nailgun on your behind.
Who knows, the cops might be out front and prevent it before it happens….

Funny. I’m planning to make sure the outside is well lit, I have several well-armed, older neighbors so they need good lighting to find their targets. I’m looking into less expensive alternatives. Harbor Freight has some nasty looking knives and machetes. Maybe a crowbar or two. With the cost of ammo so high learning how to properly handle guns would chew up a LOT of cash.
And yes, I know it is nice to know that the deputies are just a few minutes away when seconds count.

silver. i’m all up on ammo from last round of gimmee checks and i picked up a stribog from the first round. take that gun grabbers!…they were always going to jack up our taxes, may as well recover some small benefit from it.

On paper silver looks like a buy, but with an $8.00 to $10.00 premium per ounce I am buying gold. I would like to dump it all into gold but, I am thinking soap household cleaners, spare oil, I have plenty of filters may get a chunk of it.

Anything other than junk silver or ammo may be hard to spend.

Don’t forget there are premiums on gold too. The premium on an ounce of gold was around $100 last week for a gold coin. It was $6 to $7 per ounce of silver, depending on what type of silver you are buying. Prices have gone up since then, and premiums have changed too. Up or down, I don’t know. But in my book, both gold and silver are cheap. Dirt cheap.

Prices and premiums were at my local coin shop. I bought a few junk silver quarters. They were about $5 each. Some silver coins had higher premiums like you said. He said it depends on the product you are buying.

Pay off what I owe from recent shoulder surgery (after ins) and buy some more silver and other items. Maintaining debt free. With inflation percolating I am trying to put my money in places that are safer than savings in a bank.

Good luck on that shoulder. I had shoulder surgery last summer and that was a tough recovery but it was worth it. No shoulder problems at all now.

I had intended to buy a gun last time around, but the insurance bill came the same week as the stim check. This time I WILL cash it out to hold in a gun fund (now is not the time to buy one unless some screaming deal pops up in front of me). I can be patient sitting on cash, and I do want to say from here on out that I bought a gun with it. Yeah, the truck needs new tires, but I’ll deal with that in some other way.
I have not bought any ammo since 2011. Haven’t needed to. But when prices get somewhat reasonable again (normal is long gone) I will boost the preps in all categories.
The loonies in gummint think they can print fiat money indefinitely. That insanity will be paid someday, if only by rampant inflation. Outright collapse is not out of the question, but I hold to the old quote “There is a lot of ruin in a nation.” (–alleged to be Adam Smith)

Solar powered Mighty Mule gate control system with all the options. I’m closing off the gravel road onto my homestead. It’ll swing a 20’ gate and includes remote operations just like a garage door. I’ve been wanting this capability for a while but simply couldn’t justify the $1200 expenditure but since it’s basically free money (not from budget and not without future inflation) I ordered the system this morning. There’s only one way onto our hideaway but I’ve developed two well concealed (heavily wooded) ways out if we’re comprised.
This is the last step of my defense in depth effort. This will allow me to control entrance for any and all onto my world. I’ve already completely fenced out boundaries with five strand barb wire, numerous sensors and remote cameras. This will finalize those efforts.

Beware of ye old Mighty Mule…. My dad insisted he wanted one on his entrance along a county rd. I insisted that it wasn’t going to be installed as the thing was useless in fact that reverse and a log chain makes it crater in a nanosecond. Took him to a neighbors place and pointed out the Mighty Mule ‘remnant’ [gate it self was still good—a great lever arm]. After viewing,my dad’s new Mighty Mule still resides in the box he bought it in.

Canning jars, vinegar, salt, pectin, and rounding out the seed bank will be chore 1. Jars w/lids and bands are cheaper right now than the lids by themselves (when they can be found). New shovel/rake/hoe and hand-tools. All other preps are in place; including those lost when the boat sank. Jeff (Bezos) has a nice Bimini top that fits on my bass boat for around 200, he looks like a man that could use the few buck I’ll spend at his place. I have no need for gold and silver now, so don’t know what I’d use it for when things go south (further south).
