Holy crap am I old, I still remember when you could get a juice glass in a box of laundry soap in the first place!

But I digress, you won’t be getting one of these though.
They are made ONE. AT. A. TIME.
It isn’t a real quick operation either.

I have vague memories of collecting whole sets of dishes, one piece per fill up at the gas (excuse me…service) station. Green stamps too–licking and pasting them into the little redemption books.
Fascinating video clip BTW.

I wonder if you were the kid that kept licking the Green Stamps even after they were placed in the books? There is always one kid that was a licker….

In the 60’s, on the way back from Watkins Glen, my friend and I visited the Steuben Glass Works in Corning, NY. It was fascinating to watch the process from blob to engraving.
Here around Atlanta in the 50’s, it was the Spur station. Cheap gas, pea gravel lots and free glass. Now, it’s known as Depression Glass and we have a pretty much complete set of one pattern passed down to us.
