  1. The shame of it is, that whomever buys it, will probably never use them the way they were intended. Just used as a period set piece in their man cave.
    I’d love to have one of those sweet anvils.

  2. We have degenerated and lost many many many skills over time, which is a very sad state of affairs and leads one to wonder, if this isn’t part of the reason for our present situation.
    Back when those tools were used they were used by Craftsmen & Artisans, whose chosen occupation took years of apprenticeship before being let loose or obtaining your own set of “tools”. They were a symbol of pride in completing works that were often considered beautiful. Just look at the old style victorian homes and the intricate work involved in constructing them, as well as old old barns constructed with tung & grove and mortice & tenon methods.
