I Gotta Remember This One

Fishing wires through conduit, harnesses, firewalls and other shit can be a royal pain in the ass.

This splice ain’t coming apart.

    • DrJim for the win. I learned the WU splice putting in electric fence. That square knot is a interesting “twist”. I’ll try it on number 10.

  1. The Western Union splice is about the tightest splice you can make without
crimp terminals or solder. They are so compact that as Phil said you can
pull them through tight spaces and with shrink tubing, a lot more compact
    than vinyl tape insulation.

This is great for low current applications like control or signal wiring. For
everything else, invest in a good crimping tool and quality crimp connectors.

Pansies, Trolls and Liberals are urged to flee this place.
