  1. The good (mil-spec) stuff will stay on. About fifteen years ago one of our aircraft rubbed a winglet along a chain link fence in Europe. Pictures were sent to Bombardier and the fix was 600mph tape applied in a very specific pattern rubbed down with a screwdriver handle to ensure it was properly adhered. It made it back across the Atlantic, no problem.

  2. This reminds me of watching the guys in the sea king we had on our destroyer doing float tests. They would touch down in the water and stay for a bit then rise up and fly away. What used to crack me up was seeing strips of gun tape (military issue duct tape) hanging from the fuselage.

  3. I lived about 5 miles from the end of the runway of Charleston airport. A C 17 dropped that ring thingy they are taping on in my back yard. Took the air force 3 days to get it out of the yard & made more mess than the damn part falling.

Pansies, Trolls and Liberals are urged to flee this place.
