Here is a quick, two minute video of an old drill press restoration.
It turned out pretty decent.
That drill press I bought and fixed still has the factory paint on it and it’s not in too bad of shape, Thank God.
That would be a lot of work to tear all the way down and repaint.

How long would a modern Horrid Fright drill press last and that you took care of and maintained? Plastic chinese pot metal crap.

Well, other than some surface rust (I keep it in my (enclosed) breezeway), mine is going on 20 years now. However, the motor is understrength and the belt slips, but I have managed to put up with it for this long…
